The company claims to have been the first hotel chain to accept credit cards, the first to provide voice mail and the first to offer 24 hour room service. Westin also sells amenities found in it hotels to the public under the brand name of Heavenly. Nordstrom began carrying Westin's Heavenly beds in over 60 stores in 2005.
