About Steak 'n Shake®

Steak 'n Shake was first introduced in 1935 in Illinois. The business was built from the ground up by Gus Belt, who focused the company's efforts into delicious steak burgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, and excellent customer service. For more than 80 years, the company has continued to provide customers with a delightful experience and an even more delightful meal. Gus wanted to serve customers only the best burgers possible and that is still the case in Steak 'n Shakes all over the US.

Types of jobs you could find at Steak 'n Shake®

Maintenance Technician

The maintenance technician is expected to repair and maintain Steak 'n Shake equipment of assigned stores. They must also undergo regular PM training on a regular basis. Experience is preferred, but willing to train the right person if necessary.

Grill Associates

Grill associates are responsible for operating the grill and maintaining it up to health code standards. Must prepare sandwiches and melts as well as any other item that must be grilled. This type of associate is also expected to send out prepared meals to the expeditor.

Cashier/Counter Server

As the cashier and counter server you will be required to sell and serve food to guests who sit at the counter, answer phone calls, take to-go orders, and accept payment from customers. This position does not require any previous server experience.
