Grocery Clerk

Grocery Clerks are responsible for a wide variety of tasks throughout the grocery area of Smith's. These clerks will need to help customers check out, and assist throughout the store stocking their assigned area and handling customer inquiries and concerns. As necessary, Grocery Clerks may need to handle duties such as arranging flowers, baking goods, or cutting and packing meat and seafood.

Drug & General Merchandise Clerk

Drug and General Merchandise clerks are responsible for carefully receiving, stocking, and assisting customers with merchandise. Clerks working with drugs must be able to pay attention to detail, carefully reading labels and adhering to strict guidelines.

Courtesy Clerks are responsible for maintaining the front of the end store, making sure it is clean and organized, and that customers are taken care of. This includes maintaining the parking lot and gathering shopping carts, bagging groceries, and helping customers carry their purchases to their vehicle. Occasionally, Grocery Clerks will need to operate pallet jacks, balers, and other machinery.
