Schnucks is a supermarket chain. Established in the St. Louis area, the company was started in 1939 with the opening of a 1,000-square-foot (93 m2) store in north St. Louis city and now operates 97 stores in five states throughout the Midwest. Schnucks also ran stores under the Logli Supermarkets and Hilander Foods banners. Schnucks is one of the largest privately held supermarket chains in the United States.

The interview procedure at Schnucks is straightforward. There is a common skills assessment which covers subjects including but not limited to reading, writing, articulation, and basic math. Applicants must bring their resume with them to the interview. Some applicants go through a phone screening prior to progressing to an in person interview. Former employees have reported that it is important to show that you are capable of coping with stressful situations, working in a fast paced environment, have a flexible schedule, and communicating with others. Once through the interview process, all new hires are required to go through a introductory training.
