Types of jobs you could find at Payless®

Sales Associate

Must be available to work a flexible schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week. Previous retail experience is desired, but not required. You must demonstrate a passion for the product you sell and strive to meet the needs of your customers. Processing shipments and being able to lift up to 40 pounds may be required. Basic math skills are required.

Assistant Store Leader

An Assistant Store Leader must be able to demonstrate all duties of a Sales Associate. Must meet or exceed sales, profit, and shrink goals to maximize store profitability. Your customer service skills should serve as a service model for all store employees. Working knowledge of POS operations is required. Providing on the job training and coaching of Sales Associates is crucial.

Store Leadership Trainee

A candidate for Store Leadership Trainee must complete the Store Leader Development Program and have two years of college or two years of progressive supervisory experience. You must be able to assume responsibilities for managing the store. Observing the sales floor and being able to detect shop lifters or dangerous behavior is crucial.
