About Kinder Morgan®
Kinder Morgan is a company headquartered in downtown Houston, Texas. It is the largest energy infrastructure company in North America.
Kinder Morgan owns about 180 terminals that store and handle products such as gasoline, coal, and petroleum coke. Kinder Morgan's CO2 division provides carbon dioxide (CO2) for enhanced oil recovery projects in North America. In 2014, a third of the natural gas that moved in the United States passed through a Kinder Morgan asset.
Kinder Morgan has been cited by the U.S. government in 24 incidents which led to five federal enforcement actions from 2006 to 2014.
In addition to the company's Houston, Texas headquarters, the company also has large offices in Birmingham, Alabama and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
What to Expect When Interviewing
The interview procedure at Kinder Morgan is similar to competitors. There is a common skills assessment
which covers subjects including but not limited to reading, writing, articulation, and basic math. Applicants
must bring their resume with them to the interview. Some applicants go through a online screening before
progressing to an in person interview. Former employees have reported that it is important to show that
you are capable of coping with stressful situations, working in a fast paced environment, have a flexible schedule,
and communicating with others. Once through the screening process, all new hires are required to go through
a introductory training.
