Hastings Entertainment is a US retail chain that sells books, music, movies, and video games. As of 2015 it has 126 superstores which are mainly located in the South Central United States, Rocky Mountain States, and in parts of the Great Plains and Midwestern states. Hastings Entertainment stores are also located in many college towns in the U.S. It also rents movies and video games and buys used books, music, movies and video games for resale. The company is headquartered in Amarillo, Texas.

The interview process at Hastings Entertainment is similar to competitors. There is a basic skills assessment which covers topics including but not limited to reading, writing, articulation, and basic math. Applicants must bring their resume with them to the interview. Some applicants go through a online screening before progressing to an in person interview. Former employees have reported that it is important to show that you are capable of handling stressful situations, working in a fast paced environment, have a flexible schedule, and communicating with others. Once through the screening process, all new employees are required to go through a basic training.
