On December 7, 2015, NXP Semiconductors completed its acquisition of Freescale for about $11.8 billion in cash and stock. Freescale shareholders received $6.25 in cash and 0.3521 of an NXP share for each Freescale common share. Including the assumption of Freescale’s debt, the purchase price is about $16.7 billion.
What to Expect When Interviewing
The interview process at Freescale Semiconductor is straightforward. There is a basic skills assessment
which covers subjects including but not limited to reading, writing, articulation, and simple math. Applicants
must bring their resume with them to the interview. Some applicants go through a phone screening prior to
progressing to an in person interview. Current employees have reported that it is important to show that
you are capable of handling stressful situations, working in a fast paced environment, have a flexible schedule,
and communicating with colleagues. Once through the screening process, all new hires are required to go through
a basic training.
