About Firestone®

Firestone is an American tire company that was founded in 1900 by Harvey Firestone. Originally, the company provided tires for buggies, wagons and other transport vehicles of the day. Soon, Firestone recognized the potential profits in producing tires for cars and they went on to pioneer the mass production of automobile tires. Firestone had a friendly relationship with Henry Ford, getting him a foot in the door to become the tire supplier for Ford. Today Firestone continues to be one of the premier tire manufacturers in the US.

What to Expect When Interviewing

The majority of applicants that interview for a position with Firestone report a positive interview experience. Potential employees can expect a fairly straightforward interview process consisting of a face-to-face and/or group panel interview, in which a skills test and a personality test are given. A standard interview question might include, "Tell me about a time you overcome an obstacle." Potential employees can apply online or in person, and phone interviews are sometimes conducted prior to the face-to-face interview. Some applicants who are offered positions can expect to submit to a background check.
